Harry Gordon Obituary
Harry was born in Milford, NJ on May 11, 1934 to the late Harry F. Gordon and Marie Zakalyk Gordon.
Harry was a graduate of Frenchtown High School and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a talented self-employed carpenter and cabinet maker for many years. Harry was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He was a people person who would have endless conversations with anyone he met. Harry enjoyed eating in or taking out at the Alpha Pizza & Sub Shop, where he had grown to become friends with the employees over the years. Most importantly, Harry loved spending time with his grandson, Gregory.
Harry is survived by Daughter, Susan (David) Hartung; Grandson, Gregory Hartung; Sister, Marjorie Redfern; as well as many nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his Wife of 61 years, Catherine Lorraine "Rainie" Gordon; Sisters, Pamela Thaler and Doris Robinson; and Brother, Frank Ronald "Pete" Gordon.
A Visitation for the Family and Friends of Harry will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am at Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Pkwy; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. Interment will be in Greenwich Cemetery; Stewartsville, NJ.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made in Harry's name to the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad; PO Box 215; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
