Harry “Hap” Parsons Duncan, age 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born on September 27, 1947, in Sheffield, Alabama, Hap grew up in Pickwick, Tennessee, where his roots and love for community were firmly planted. He attended Martin College before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy, from which he was honorably discharged.

Following his service, Hap built a successful career in real estate management, working with several companies and organizations throughout the Nashville area, including owning and operating his own real estate business. He specialized in hospital office building management and was known for bringing professionalism, integrity, and meaningful value to every engagement he was part of. His ability to connect with people and his strong work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.

Hap was known for his big personality, his zeal for life, and his genuine love for people. He truly never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply showing up, Hap made people feel seen and valued.

He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and listening to country music, but his greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband and a proud father who cherished raising his two daughters and spending time with his grandchildren. His love for his family was evident in everything he did.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Roy Duncan and Marguerite Estelle Duncan.

Hap is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Rose Duncan; his daughters, Jennifer Barrett and Erin Feaga; his son-in-law, Paul Feaga; and his four beloved grandchildren, Riley and Zach Barrett, and Addison and Trey Feaga, all of whom were the light of his life.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7th, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens, followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Hap’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
