Harry Edward "Ed" Lewis, of Farmington, NY, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, from cancer. He was born on July 03, 1943, the only son of the late Harry and Daisy Lewis.
Ed was predeceased by his beloved daughter Tammy Sue.
He grew up in Rochester and graduated from East High in 1962; it was there he met his loving wife and caught her attention while playing saxophone in the high school band. They married shortly after graduation and raised three beautiful children.
Ed worked hard to support his family and had past jobs at a paper route, Lincoln Rochester Bank, Levi's Music Store and Canada Dry. He spent the majority of his career as an Accountant at Siewert Equipment where he made lifelong friendships.
In his spare time, Ed enjoyed boating, camping, riding motorcycles, traveling, country western music, antique cars, political debates, watching grandkid's sporting events and the Buffalo Bills. His favorite trip was to Hawaii, however, he was happiest in a comfortable chair, with a good view, surrounded by family.
Ed leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by his devoted wife of 62 ½ years, Nancy; their sons, Christopher Lewis and Scott (Kristin Andersen) Lewis; grandchildren: Jessica (Dustin) Smith, Michael, Megan Lewis, Erin (Jonathan) Nagle, Kevin Lewis and Julia Lewis; great grandchildren: Jacob and Wyatt Smith, Eleanor, Maxwell, Isabel and Matilda Nagle; brother-in-law, Donald (Tammy) Lowe; sister-in-law, Donna (Rick) Hoffman; as well as nieces, nephews, friends and cherished cousins in Alabama.
All are welcome to join the family in a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 15th at 11: 00am at Mertensia Park Lodge located at 1438 Mertensia Road in Farmington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed's name to Golisano's Children's Hospital. Click HERE to Donate
