Harry Myers Obituary
He was born in Santa Monica, California on September 17, 1943, to Harry Lincoln Myers Jr. and La Verne Elizabeth Longtin.
Harry joined the U.S. Navy in February of 1962 at the age of 19 and served 20 years before retiring at the rank of CTMC in December of 1981. Following his naval service, he continued to work as an engineer retiring from Lockheed Martin Corporation in December of 2003.
In retirement, Harry enjoyed collecting stamps and postmarks, world travel, and listening to classical music.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Delma K. Heine; daughter, Kimberly S. Hardesty (Alan) of Dahlgren, Virginia; brother, Philip A. Myers, of Cary, North Carolina; sister, Deborah Keyser (Paul), of Grass Valley, California; granddaughter, Jacqueline M. Sahhar (Mandy) of St. Petersburg, Florida; and two great-granddaughters, Avery and Cora Sahhar, also of St. Petersburg, Florida.
In accordance with his wishes, a cremation has taken place. His ashes have been entrusted to the US. Navy whereupon they will be scattered over the Pacific Ocean.
