Harry S. "Dater" Nale

Harry S. "Dater" Nale, 89, of Milroy, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Geisinger–Lewistown Hospital.

Born on July 4, 1936, in Siglerville, he was the son of the late Albert and Celia (Harshberger) Nale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Bartenfelder and June Abee, and his grandson, Jan-Alan Nale.

On February 17, 1954, Harry married his devoted wife of 71 years, Diane (Bott) Nale, who survives. He is also survived by his sons: Dr. Leonard Nale and wife Judi of Southport, NC; Jeffrey Nale of Port Charlotte, FL; and Steven Nale of Davie, FL. Cherished grandchildren include Jennifer Stanberry and husband Wade, Michele Nale, Danielle Watkins and husband Dustin, and Shea Nale and wife Allison; along with great-grandchildren Dominic and Tyler Stanberry, and Vivian and Ellie Nale, who were his greatest joy.

Harry dedicated forty years of service as an engineer at Standard Steel. A man of faith, he was a member of the Congregational Church in Siglerville. He was also proud to be a 32nd Degree Mason of Lewistown Lodge No. 203 and a member of Tall Cedars.

An avid outdoorsman, Harry found fulfillment in hunting and traveled across the United States in pursuit of his passion. From deer and turkey to even rattlesnakes, he enjoyed the challenge of the hunt. He was a lifetime member of Spelunkers, a skilled farrier by trade, and a member of the Keystone Snake Club.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at King Funeral Home & Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, with Pastor Mark Hill officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery.
