East St Louis , Illinois - Harry Nicholson, age 92, of East St Louis, IL, born on December 20, 1930 in East Carondelet, IL, died on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Harry worked as a chief inspector at Cerro Copper for 47 years. He enjoyed playing baseball in a variety of local leagues, coaching little league and American Legion Baseball teams over the years, and was an avid horse racing fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank Nicholson and Ella Carridine Nicholson, Wife, Gay (Appleton) Nicholson, and two brothers, John and Reuben Nicholson.
Harry is survived by his children, Garry (Gina) Nicholson, Dionne Nicholson, and Michael Connors; his grandchildren, Steffan Nicholson, Lauren Robinson, Ashley Nicholson, Simone Connors, Marlon Connors, Caleb Connors, Damien Michael Connors, Darrius Nigel Connors, and Brandon Connors; great grandchildren: a sister, Bernice Cunningham, and loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.
A funeral procession will leave Kassly Mortuary at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 for Sunset Gardens of Memory for a graveside service.
