Harry Joseph Pointon

Harry Joseph Pointon, Sr., 78, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home.
Harry was born on June 5, 1943 in La Porte, Indiana, to Dallis and Velma E.(Kain) Pointon.
On February 1, 1964 in La Porte, IN, he married Ilene L. Kuta who survives. Also surviving are his son, Harry J. Pointon, Jr. of Pearcy, Arkansas and Terry L. Pointon of La Porte; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Gipson, Lisa Gipson, Brandon Pointon, Kayla Treece, and Kimberly Pointon; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Smith and Sam Pointon, both of Arkansas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents; brothers, Terry and Dallas; sisters, Helen, Hilda and Loretta; and great-granddaughter, Areanna.
Harry was a La Porte Community School Corporation bus mechanic for 33 years, retiring in 2018. He enjoyed fixing cars, watching The Weather Channel, visiting Arkansas, and drinking Pepsi.
Harry was a great father and grandfather. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. Harry left very fond memories for his family to reminisce upon.
A Private Family Memorial Gathering will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
