Harry Rotstein
July 12, 1946 – March 4, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Rotstein, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who died peacefully on March 4, 2025, at the age of 78. Harry was born on July 12, 1946, in Freising, Germany, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he formed lifelong bonds and developed a deep love for his community.
Harry dedicated his career to the printing world, working at Newsday in the printing lab, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his hard work and commitment. He was proud of his work and always ensured that the product was done with the utmost care and precision.
A devoted father to James and Paul, Harry took great pride in raising his sons, imparting his wisdom, humor, and strength as a role model throughout their lives. In 2022, he was overjoyed to become a grandfather to Luca and Marco, whom he spoke about with great pride.
In his later years, Harry moved to Delray Beach, Florida, where he enjoyed the warmth of the sun, rounds of golf, and countless conversations with his dearest friends within the Deaf community. He will be remembered not only for his love for his family, but for his kindness, humor, and loyalty as a friend.
Harry's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the many lives he touched. He is survived by his beloved sons, James Rotstein and Paul Rotstein; grandchildren, Marco Rotstein and Luca Rotstein; and sister, Fay (Richard) Wilner.
A private memorial was held in Harry's honor and his remains will be scattered along a golf course, as per his wishes. Harry's family wishes to thank everyone for their kind support and condolences during this difficult time.
