Harry "Chris" Stevens

It is with deep sadness that the family of Harry Christopher Stevens, "Chris", announce his passing on March 18th, 2023. He was 68 years old.
He was born in Louisville, KY, to Lee and Dorothy Stevens. After graduating from Fern Creek High School, he went on to study and receive his bachelor's degree in Recreation at Eastern Kentucky University. Upon graduation in 1978, Chris began his military career. Serving proudly and honorably in the United States Army. Achieving the rank of Major, his experience in the Army played a very important role in his life. After his career with the U.S. Army, Chris utilized those values and skills for Service Master, Dublin City Schools, and Homestead America.
Chris enjoyed many activities throughout his life, including skiing, diving, and volleyball. He loved flying his ultralight, sailing his catamaran, and motorcycle trips with his brothers, John and Jim. His biggest joy came from spending time with his family, and sharing his wisdom and stories on countless family trips... We heard them all.
Love and time are two of the most precious gifts we can share. Chris generously gave both. Chris served and called Cypress Wesleyan Church home.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Stevens; stepchildren, Shilowe Long (Amy O'Malley), Leza Holloway (Derrick), Chloe Long (Doc); five grandchildren (Kai, Kade, Wyatt, Cooper, Maxton); brother John Stevens, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Gale Stevens; brother-in-law, Nick Blackstone (Cindy); niece Kim Rausch (Kent), nephews, Lee Stevens (Amanda), Brad Stevens (Erin); and the K girls.
Preceeded in death by parents; Lee and Dorothy Stevens; and sister, Kathy Stevens.
Family will receive friends at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 5471 Frazell Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026, on Monday, March 27th, from 4-7pm. The funeral service officiated by Pastor Dale George will follow immediately at the same location.
