Harry Albert Summers, 77, of Mannington, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, March 8, 2025 at his home. He was born February 9, 1948 in Baxter, Marion County, a son of the late Thomas James and Helen Wolfe Summers.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Lynn Mary Morgan Summers, who passed away in February of 2022.
A proud veteran, Harry served two tours in Vietnam in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Harry loved to take car rides through the countryside and go camping.
He is survived by his daughter, Lora Summers, with whom he made his home; his grandson, Zackary Clawson of Mannington; grandson, Mack Clawson and granddaughter, Sara Jones of Farmington; and granddaughter, Ashly Summers of Sabraton; his great-grandchildren, Parker; Easton; Lilliana; Lyla; and Logan Albert, who is on the way; his brother, Thomas James "Jim" Summers and wife Patty of Rivesville; his sisters, Anna Montalvo of SC; Debbie Reese and husband Jim of Rivesville; and Dot Sausen and husband Rick of Morgantown; his sisters-in-law, Amy Brown of TN; Ada Clelland and husband Rick of Mannington; and Shirley Johnson and husband Don of FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Harry was preceded in death by his grandson, Patrick Clawson; his great-grandson, Lincoln Clawson; his close friend and brother-in-law, Tony Montalvo; and his sister-in-law, Susan Ogden and her husband Donnie.
Friends will be received at Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Hwy. Farmington, on Wednesday from 5-9pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 13th, at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Farmington I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.hutsonfuneralhomes.com
