Harvey Dodds

Harvey Dodds was born September 22, 1935, to the late Willie Mae and Charlie Dodds, Sr. in the rural community of Gourd, AR. He transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal home on April 14, 2025.
He was a man of many talents. He could shape a tree up with a chainsaw in a fashion that was admired by many. He worked for the Coca Cola Company in Chicago, IL for a number of years before his return to Arkansas, where he owned and operated his own lawn care service. In addition, he worked on the family farm.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents: Willie Mae and Charlie Dodds, Sr. Five Siblings: Gayetta Valley, Gerturde Harris, Charlie Dodds, Jr., James Dodds, Sr. And Tellus Dodds.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Allexis (Evelyn) Dodds of Chicago, Illinois; four daughters: Felicia (Willie B.) Harris of Dumas, Arkansas; Dolores Cole and Shirley Roberts, both of Chicago, Illinois; Harvestine (Gerald) Turner of Flowersmond, Texas; and two bonus daughters; Deborah (Terrence) Ruth of Conway, Arkansas and Janice Douglas of Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers: Travis Dodds of Minnesota; Johnny (Delois) Dodds, and Lonzell Dodds both of Dumas, AR; five sisters: Beatrice Bryant of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Katrina Dobbs, Devezine Smith, Juanita Moreland and Marilyn (Emanuel) Page, all of Dumas, Arkansas; nineteen grandchildren, twenty great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other beloved family members and friends.
It broke our hearts to lose him, but he didn't go alone.
For part of us went with him - the day God called him home!

Viewing will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Jerusalem M. B. C.,1209 Highway 54, Dumas, Arkansas.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Jerusalem M. B. C., Burial in Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Services entrusted to the Staff of Brown Funeral Home of Dumas, Arkansas.
