Mr. Harvey “Wayne” Dean, entered into his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the age of 84. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Cash Baptist Church by Rev. Karl Randall and Wayne’s son, Mitch Dean. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00PM prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
Mr. Dean was born February 26, 1941 in Morven, NC the son of the late William “Bill” and Ethel Sellers Dean. Wayne was the retired owner of Wayne Dean’s Body Shop & Used Cars. His passion in life was restoring old cars and trucks. He particularly had an affinity for classic Ford pickup trucks. Mr. Dean restored several Ford pickups that were featured in truck magazines including Rodder’s Digest and several others. He was also the co-founder of the F100 Supernational Truck Show. He was a man who valued his work and his faith. Wayne gave his life to the Lord more than 50 years ago and has served faithfully in Cash Baptist Church ever since.
Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Margie Dean of the home; children, Donna (Lance) Cole of Norwood, NC, Mitch (Billie) Dean of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Wesley (Jasmine) Cole of Charlotte, NC, Anna (Lindsay) Dean of Greenville, SC, Jesse Dean of Cheraw, SC, Emma Dean of Cheraw, SC; great-grandchildren, Callahan Cole, Charlie Dean; Brother, Harold Dean of Cheraw, SC; and sister, Faye Kistler of Wilmington, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cash Baptist Church, 3938 HWY 52 South, Cheraw, SC 29520.
