Haskell McCully departed this life on June 15, 2024, in Stilwell, OK at the age of 88 years.
He was born on January 16, 1936, in Stilwell, OK to Lawson and Lucy (Johnson) McCully. Haskell McCully and Wanda Lea McCully (Brown) were married August 3, 1956, and their son Mike was born on November 24th, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Haskell attended Stilwell High School and graduated in 1955. After graduation he went to California to work and save. Haskell began his work in fabrication, first working at Rockwell in Tulsa, OK, and later working with his son, Michael D., in their own machine shop in Tulsa, OK. This work continued when Haskell moved back to Bunch, OK, where he operated his machine shop out on Sanders Flat until his retirement. Upon retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, making knives, canes, quilts, furniture and many other artistic creations shared with friends and family.
Haskell gave his life to the lord, his family, and Church (family). He was a Deacon at Stilwell Church of Christ until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, son, mother and father, 2 brothers Jack and Joe McCully, 4 sisters Aileen Campbell, Esther Irene (Polly) Williams, Jewell West and Wilma Clark.
Those left to cherish his memory are: 3 grandchildren: Charity Hambrick, of Claremore, OK; John-Michael McKinney of Talala, OK, and Cody McCully of Bunch, OK; 3 great grandchildren: Jimmy McKinney, Riley Hambrick, Evan Hambrick; 1 great great granddaughter Emery McKinney, and a host of family members all left to cherish the memories, collection of stories he loved to share about the way things were.
