Hattie L. Ficklin

Hattie L. Ficklin 90, formerly of Beaufort and retired educator, died Monday at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center, Snellville, Georgia.
She was the daughter of the late Deacon & Mrs. Johnnie Lawton, mother of Jacques (Christine) Ficklin and the late Jamahl Ficklin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 17, 2025 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Beaufort. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Viewing: 4 to 6 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church in conjunction with the Omega Omega Services of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and the Final Rites of Mizpah Chapter #4 Order of Easter Star.

Expressions of Love
We, the family of Hattie Beatrice Lawton Ficklin express sincere gratitude and great appreciation for all whom have contributed to our dearly departed loved one. No deed was too small. We are thankful for your thoughts, prayers, phone calls, texts and visits to her home.
Special Acknowledgements to Louise Williams and Crystal Yon, who assisted greatly year-round with her care and transportation, and Mary and Martha who were not only her housekeepers but her dear friends. Also, thank You, Ellis Washington, for keeping her yard work in a manner that she truly admired. None of what we accomplished with Mom living in two different states could have been done without either of you.

The family asks that you continue to keep them in prayer as they grieve the loss and celebrate the life of their loved one. They ask that you continue to obey all CDC guidelines regarding COVID 19 and all of its variances. Please note that Masks are still required when visiting the Funeral Home and some churches.
