Hattie Eva Johnson

On Monday, April 21, 2025. Mrs. Hattie Eva Johnson entered into the Lord's rest. Hattie was born on July 9, 1938 in Orange County, to Charlie Coy Harrelson and Luvenia McCandis Harrelson. Her parents proceeded her in death.
Hattie was known and loved by many all around the community. Her infectious laugh kept those around her smiling. She was a kind, generous soul who genuinely cared about people and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Hattie accepted Christ, was baptized and joined Lee's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She served on the Usher Board and various other committees throughout the years. Hattie remained a faithful member of Lee's Chapel until her death.
Growing up Hattie and her siblings worked on the family farm until they each left home. As a young adult Hattie began working in housekeeping. She worked with the same two families for almost two decades. Hattie continued work in the private sector until her retirement. Hattie was always gifted with her hands, she liked to sew and she loved to bake. No family function was complete without one of Hattie's pound cakes or sweet potato pies.
On October 24, 1959 Hattie Eva married the love of her life, Mr. Brown Johnson Jr. To this union was born one son, Curtis Johnson Sr. Hattie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Brown Johnson Jr., her son Curtis Johnson Sr. (Lynette) of Stafford, Virginia; Four grandchildren, Latoya Johnson, who proceeded her in death, Whitney Lea, Curtis Johnson Jr. (Tanisha), and Caleb Johnson, all of Stafford Virginia; Two great children, Cameron and Christian Johnson both of Stafford,Virginia and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was the last survivor of 11 children born to Coy and Luvenia Harrelson. She now joins Flonnie Harrelson, John Phillip Harrelson, George Harrelson, Owen Harrelson, Henry Harrelson, Earvin Lee Harrelson, Sr., Leroy Harrelson, Claude Harrelson and Christine Harrelson Jones in rest, awaiting Christ's return.
