Hayden Bartels, passed away on December 16,2024, at the Ernestine M. Raclin House in Mishawaka. He was born on September 13, 2003, in Warsaw to Edwin & Janelle (Gause) Bartels. He bravely fought cancer; he was 21 years old at the time of his passing.
A graduate of Wawasee High School, Hayden exemplified the value of hard work throughout his life. His career at B A Romines in commercial HVAC was a testament to his dedication and determination. Hayden was known not only for his work ethic but also for his infectious spirit. Described as the life of the party, he rarely knew a stranger. He carried a warm smile that had the power to uplift those around him, always striving to bring joy to others.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Hayden had a passion for racing cars at New Paris Speedway, as well as fishing, hunting, and trapping, all of which brought him immense joy and allowed him to enjoy the beauty of nature.
He is deeply mourned by his loving family, including his parents, Edwin and Janelle Bartels of Syracuse; his sister, Hayley Bartels, of Syracuse; and his grandparents, Duane Bartels of Syracuse and Sherry Stidams of Larwill. He is also fondly remembered by his great-grandmother, Amy Kramer of Columbia City.
Hayden was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sandra Bartels and Dale Stidams, both of whom he held dear in his heart.
A Life Celebration visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 2 p.m to 5 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1001 South Huntington Street in Syracuse. Memorial gifts may be made to Riley Hospital or to the Hayden Bartels Funeral Fund.
