Hayley Danielle Maultsby, 36 of Biloxi passed away on October 30, 2023. She was born January 12, 1987, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Doug and Rita Maultsby, and Roy Hopkins.
Hayley was a kind, loving person and relished bringing joy to those around her. She had a zest for life and a contagious smile that would lift even the heaviest of hearts. Hayley had compassion and integrity, she was empathetic, and truly embodied a beacon of light in the darkness. She was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand, a kind word, a pep-talk you didn’t even know you needed, or a quiet shoulder to cry on. Hayley enjoyed shopping, make-up, and dressing up for all occasions. She was an avid traveler and loved meeting new people and sampling different cultures. She had a sense of humor that never faltered or failed to make you laugh. Her heart was one that we should all strive to emulate, as she loved without bias or condition. Hayley had many loves in her life, but above everything else, her longtime partner Alex Navas, whom she affectionately called “Papa” will always stand the love of her life. Hayley was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, and friend to so many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Hayley is survived by her children, Hunter Mcdaniel, Spencer Simons, and Ava Navas; stepchildren, Alejandro (Angelica) Navas, Calazan (Morgan) Navas; companion, Alex Navas; mother, Sharon (Michael) Ziegler; father, Steven (Lisa) Maultsby; brother, Ky Maultsby; step- brothers, Ryan Ziegler, Skylar Ziegler, and Brennan (Alicia) Sullivan; step- sister, Brandilyn (Seth) Eskelinen; mother-in-law, Moravia Silva; brothers-in-law, Johnathan (Jackie) Navas, Julio Navas, and Jourdan Navas. Hayley also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephew, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home- 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Fatima Church with burial to follow in Southern Memorial Park.
