Hazel Blevins Obituary
Mrs. Blevins, the daughter of Russell and Susie Goins Agee, was born in Madison County on January 14, 1933. She had retired from Westinghouse / Phillips Lighting. Hazel was always helping others and she enjoyed going out to eat with her lady-friends. Her church, Broadway Baptist, was her life and she was the oldest member of the church.
Hazel united in marriage to Harold H. Blevins who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter: Karen and her husband Robert McElroy of Richmond, one brother: Ray Agee, her sister: Sharon Collins, six grandchildren: Madonna Agee, Jamie Adams, Kimberly Howell, Branden Roberts, Joseph McElroy and Kevin Elroy, 17 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by two children: Brenda Hoover and Vickie Crowe, one brother: Wayne Agee, her sister: Beverly Alcorn, two sons-in-law: Dearl Hoover and Mitchell "Bud" Crowe and her grandson: Timmy Crowe.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 1:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2025, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Malcolm Hester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
