HER HUSBAND LEFT FOR THE UNITED STATES AND WAS DRAFTED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY. SHE WOULD ALSO GROW VEGETABLES AND JAMAICAN SPICES. HAZEL LOVED TO CROCHET AND SEW FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. SHE WAS ALSO AN AVID READER. EVERYONE ENJOYED HER COOKING, WETHER PREPARING AMERICAN OR WEST INDIAN DISHES.
