Hazel B. (Rush) Kinkade, 95, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at WVU Medicine - Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

She was born in Moundsville on March 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Jesse and Evelyn (Scott) Rush. Hazel worked for over 20 years at the former Mound View Nursing Home as the Activities Director. She was an avid reader and enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. Above all she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert D. Kinkade, Sr. (2013); her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Rush, Helen Higgs and Delores "Bonnie" Knight and one brother, Robert Rush.

Hazel is survived by her son, Robert "Dale" (Rebecca) Kinkade, Jr. of Moundsville; three daughters, Barbara Corliss of Dayton, OH, Bonnie (Charles) Vavrock of Benwood, WV and Cathy (David) Simmons of Moundsville; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry and Roger Rush both of Moundsville and several nieces and nephews. Hazel had a love for animals, especially a special dog, Molly and would look forward to her visits. And Pearl, who she would occasionally dog sit.

Hazel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
