Hazel Hill LaFollette, 96, Johnson City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Lakebridge Health Care. Hazel was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Joe Jefferson and Lena Peterson Hill. Hazel was a homemaker, and enjoyed crafting, especially working with flowers and making wreaths. She was a former member of Midway Presbyterian Church and had been attending First Free Will Baptist Church, Johnson City, prior to her declining health. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Lee LaFollette, in 1997, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ralph and Reba Hill, Taft Hill. She is survived by her sister, Helen H. Kinnick and husband John, Johnson City; sister-in-law, Jeannett Hill, Johnson City; one niece, Helen Hall and husband Cliff, Gray; two nephews, Chris Kinnick, Johnson City, Brian Hill and wife Dawn, Blountville. The family would like to thank the staff of Lakebridge Health Care, especially Billie, Janet and Rebecca for the wonderful care given to Hazel during her stay. The graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., in the Garden of Peace at Monte Vista Memorial Park, with Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff, officiating.
