Wendell Neal LaFollette, age 65 of Parrottsville, passed away peacefully at home after a 9 year long battle with colon cancer and several months of lung cancer, Thursday, October 2, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Betty Jo LaFollette; father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Oree Cagle; and special friend Ivan Parks. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wilma LaFollette; daughters Christy and Joe Haynes of Dandridge and April and David Stout of Dandridge; grandchildren Ethan Haynes, Harper Haynes, Brooklyn Haynes, Kelsie Stout, and Kenzie Stout; sisters Shirley and (Ronnie) Sane of Parrottsvillle and Sandra Kesterson of Greeneville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sandra Cagle, Irene and Melvin Cotheran, Fred and Lavna Cagle, and Jeff Cagle; and his favorite pet Cat Radar. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Dr. Tunkur and Staff at Tennessee Cancer Center and to Dr. Hanna Kirk. Graveside Service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025 in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Randall Frisbee officiating. Burial will follow. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Manes Funeral Home.
