Hazel June Matton, 85, of Cumberland died Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Care and Rehab-Cumberland. She was born August 4, 1938, in Barron, WI to William and Betty (Woolover) Picknell. She was married on November 19, 1955, to Arnold Matton Sr. who preceded her in death on June 7, 1987.
Hazel had a heart to serve and never liked to sit still. She loved to volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran Church helping with the children and in the kitchen, at Yours Mine Ours Thrift Store, and cooking at various restaurants and the elementary school. Hazel worked at a number of businesses including Falcon Drill and 3M.
Her biggest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Hazel could often be found in the kitchen cooking something tasty for them to enjoy.
She is survived by children, Cheryl (Craig) Wasko, Karen Matton, and Arnold Matton Jr. "Bud" (Lynn); grandchildren, Andrea (Ryan) Uebel, Kelly (Basil) Mansheim, John Wasko, Melissa (Corey) Riebe, and Jennifer (Brett) Graunke; great-grandchildren, Shannon, Tanner, Landon, Brittany, Mason, Gracie and Hana; siblings: Lorraine, Sharron (George), and Linda; and many other family and friends. Hazel was preceded in death by husband, Arnold Matton Sr.; her parents, William and Betty; brothers, Dale, Gene, Edward; sisters, Gloria, Cathy, Vicky, and Diane.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, October 12, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran with Pastor John Miels officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 AM.

We worked together & attended the same church. We also volunteered at the Thrift Shop too. She was always busy, never sat still for very long. I will miss her & so many others will too.
