Hazel always did everything with grace and style, she treated me like family and went out of her way to make her friends welcome at her table and would send you home with a plate of goodies. She will truly be missed by one and all.

I can't imagine seeing Rev Moore and not seeing Hazel with him. She was his best friend as well as his devoted wife. I have known Juran for over 63 years and I've always said that it would take a special person for him to be with for over 25 years. He found that person in Hazel. Thank God for the time they have spent together.

I never worked directly with Hazel but served with her on several committees and to include in triumph when women broke through the glass ceiling from supervisory positions and into mid-level management. Hazel's professionalism, kindness, calm and humanism had a great and lasting impression on her peers, managers, correctional staff and the inmates. Her light will still shine on in our memories.

This is such sad news. When I first made case manager at Youth Center in Lorton Virginia, Hazel was my supervisor. A gem to work for. She also attended my surprise baby shower when I had my first child Hazel was an inspiration to many and a great teacher. I soon became Deputy Director of institutions for all of Lorton but used some of the qualities learned from Hazel. My deepest sympathy to the family. She will truly be missed.
