Hazel Richardson Rawlins

Hazel Richardson Rawlins, 96, widow of Clyde Rawlins of 70 years, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 in Lexington, KY. Born on July 25th, 1929 in Estill County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Dora Mae Baber Richardson. She is survived by five children, Teresa Mathis of Melber, KY, Phyllis Mathis of Lexington, KY, Vickie (George) Doyle of Lexington, KY, Connie (Bill) Cook of Nashville, TN, and Tim (Rebecca) Rawlins of Lexington, KY; eight grandchildren, Cindy Mathis, Sheila Mathis, Michael Mathis, T.J. Doyle, Kellye Doyle, Kristie Doyle, Jordan Rawlins and Justin Rawlins; fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Along with her husband and parents she is also preceded in death by a son-n-law, Steve Mathis. Funeral services for Hazel will be 12:30PM Wednesday, December 17th at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road. Burial will follow at The Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30AM till the start of the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be T.J. Doyle, Ty Doyle, Eddie Richardson, Justin Rawlins, Robert Polsgrove and Jordan Rawlins with Bennie Cox serving as an honorary pallbearer for Mrs. Rawlins.
