Hazel Newsome Thacker

Hazel Newsome Thacker, age 63 of Jenkins, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. She was born September 26, 1960 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Daniel & Pearl Tackett Newsome. She was the wife of the late Dennis Junior Thacker and companion of Rudy Tackett of Melvin, Kentucky. Along with her companion she is survived by her Daughter: Rachel Thacker of Auxier, Kentucky; Brother: Daniel Newsome of Lexington, Kentucky; Sisters: Deloris Holland of Memphis, Tennessee, Janice Walters of Lepont, Texas & Judy Newsome of Colorado Spring, Colorado; Grand dog: Lucy. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter: Crystal Elswick; Brother: Don Newsome. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 6pm at the funeral home and will continue all day Wednesday, January 10, 2024
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11am at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky with Ronnie Rose officiating
Burial will follow at Buckingham Cemetery, Bevinsville, Kentucky
