Mrs. Hazel Price Thompson, age 93, of 384 Jeffries Farm Rd., Jonesville, widow of Vernon Thompson, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at Union Medical Center.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Campobello, February 19, 1932, a daughter of the late L.S. Price and Bertha Higgins Price. She was a devoted homemaker and had formerly worked for Milliken and Co. She loved to cook, bake, and sew and enjoyed having a garden and growing flowers. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Gilead Baptist Church and was a prayer warrior and witness for Jesus Christ.

Surviving are three sons, Vernon Thompson and wife Claudette, Ronald Keith Thompson and friend, Ruth and Steve Thompson and wife Penny all of Jonesville; two sisters, Faye Vinson and Carolyn Abee both of Jonesville; two brothers, Frederick Price and wife Diane of Clayton, NC and Eugene Price of Valdese, NC; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Price of Kings Mountain, NC and Ruth Price of Little River. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Adam Thompson, three sisters, Evelyn Lyda, Ruth Price and Rebecca Free and two brothers, Loyd and Bud Price.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Eddie Saxon. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.
