Mrs. Brenda Robinson Dillard, age 82, of 681 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Jonesville, widow of Thomas C. Dillard, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Dillard was born in Spartanburg, July 19, 1943 a daughter of the late Essie "Gully" Robinson and Evelyn White Robinson. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired as a legal assistant after 45 years working at various law offices in Spartanburg and Union counties. Prior to her illness, Mrs. Dillard worked for the Union County News. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church where she was a member of the UMW and had served as Financial Secretary for the church. Mrs. Dillard was also a member of the BPOE Does. She was first married to the late Danny Sanders.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie N. Maness of Jonesville and Hope S. Davis and husband Keith Laster of Cowpens; two brothers, Dennis C. Robinson and wife Martha, and Grady Phillip Robinson and friend, Cheryl Lawson all of Jonesville, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Robinson of Jonesville. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Allison Niccole Davis (Terry Harris, Jr.) and James Nicholas Maness (Jessica Sowers), three great grandchildren, James Tanner Maness, Avery Sowers and Allen Sherbert and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Scoggins (Carol) and a brother, Harold Dean Robinson.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Mrs. Dillard and her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2025 at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Angelia Price. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the church prior to the services.
Active pallbearers will be Keith Laster, Westley Robinson, Jim Maness, Jacob Robinson, Matthew Robinson and Rob Mitchell.
Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, PO Box 787, Jonesville, SC 29353.
The family will be at the home, 681 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy. Jonesville.
