Hazle Coralee New

Hazle Coralee New, a cherished resident of Williamsburg, VA, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on December 30, 1934, in Lexington, VA, Hazle moved to Williamsburg in the 1950s, where she built a life in the community she loved.

Hazle had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She found great delight in watching old Westerns and episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, which brought her comfort and joy. She also loved watching game shows before bedtime, a favorite way to end her evenings. Her love for hummingbirds was well-known among family and friends, as she often marveled at their beauty and grace.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henley L. New, and her son, Merrell M. New, Hazle's legacy continues through her surviving children: sons Calvin (Ronnie), Daniel, and Carl (Rosie), and daughters Cindy and Carol. Her family tree flourished with 22 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her memory and spirit.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on September 3, 2025, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Bucktrout Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on September 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location, followed by a burial at the New Family Cemetery.

Hazle's warmth and kindness touched many lives, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
