Mr. Ronald O'Brian New, age 86, entered into rest on Friday August 8, 2025.

He is survived by his children, Brenda Hall, Ricky New, Rhonda Jones; brother, Thom (Pat) New; step children, Bridget (Bubba) Courtney, Billy (Carmen) Storey; grandchildren, Michael Hall, Melanie (Marty) English, Ashley Jones; and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hunter, Sr. and Ruth New; son, Ronald O. New, II; wife, Kathy J. New; brother, Hunter New, Jr.; and sister, Joyce New Willing.

Mr. New graduated from Aiken High School, the class of 1957. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Intrepid CVA-11, as an electrician. Ronald loved music, especially country music, singing harmony and enjoyed listening to the pedal steel guitar. He was a member of Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville for over 20 years where he sang bass in the choir. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Thursday August 14, 2025 at 11am at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville with Pastor Stephen Phillips officiating. Military Honors to be rendered during the service.
