H.C. Brown Jr.

H.C. Brown Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 5th, 2025 at Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ.
H.C. was born in Abbeville, Alabama to his parents, Vedora Norton and H.C. Brown Sr. along with his seven siblings. He had three brothers and four sisters.
H.C. obtained his elementary and high school education in Dothan, Alabama. Upon completing high school, H.C. enlisted in the U.S. Military. He chose to join the Army.
When H.C. returned home from the military, he met and married Bernice Douglas. He was the father of five children. He had two daughters and three sons. Their names are: Linda Brown, Darryl Huggins, Tangela Brown, James Means and Justin Brown.
H.C. worked for several years as a contractor throughout Essex County. He worked on various sights and projects such as Livingston Mall and several apartments built in Newark, NJ. He also worked as a glass cutter.
H.C. was predeceased by his wife, Bernice; his son, Darryl; his mom, Vedora; his father, H.C. Brown Sr.; and three siblings, James Brown, Robert Brown and Elaine Brown.
H.C. is survived by four of his children, Linda, Tangela, James and Justin; his siblings, Eula Mae Solomon, Rosa Smith, Barbara Brown and Arthur Brown; a sister-in-law, Mamie Creamer; and two brothers-in-law, John Creamer and Johnny Douglas. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends, including two special friends, Maude Huggins & Gloria Edwards.
