Heath E. Schultz

RICHFIELD SPRINGS- Heath E. Schultz, age 55, of East Main Street passed away peacefully on Sunday February 8, 2026 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. He had the comfort of his loving family by his side at the time of his passing.

Heath was born on December 25, 1970 in Utica. He was raised and educated in Utica and Richfield Springs. For many years Heath was a Custodian at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. On April 6, 2020 he married the former Christine Krouse in Richfield Springs.

He was known as a jokester as well as the life of the party, he had a big heart and he was a caring man, who was very strong in his opinion and was always there for anybody in need. He enjoyed playing basketball and he adored the New York Yankees and the Miami Dolphins. He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.

Surviving him besides his wife Christine is his mother Roberta Ward are two sons; Isaac Schultz and Koda Schultz both of Sauquoit, two daughters; Katie Perry and her husband TJ of Herkimer, Alandra Schultz of Richfield Springs, two step daughters; Sandra Krouse and her husband Shane of Richfield Springs, Meagan Sierant and her husband Justin of Gloversville, a brother Andrew Ward and his wife Courtney of Dolgeville, two sisters; Lina Lopez of Richfield Springs, Audra Schultz of Ilion, three grandchildren; TJ, Kelcie, Olliver, several nieces. Nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Mr. Schultz will be private and at the convenience of his family. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home Inc. 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs.
