Heather Hemphill Dees

 

Heather Hemphill Dees was called home by our Heavenly Father on Friday, November 17, 2023 suddenly and peacefully in her sleep at her home in Covington, LA. Heather was the loving daughter of David Hemphill and Mary Ann Carson Hemphill, adoring wife of Matthew Dees, and dedicated mother of her precious daughters Monroe and Sloane Dees. She is survived by her father David Hemphill, sister Kara Roth, and brother Nicholas Hemphill.

Heather was an absolutely magnetic person who dedicated her life to her husband, children, and bringing joy to all those around her. Her kind nature and quick wit was something to be in awe of and brought genuine happiness to all that knew her. After graduating from Southeastern Louisiana State University, she extended that kind nature to those in need by serving as the director and coordinator of activities for several non-profit organizations and assisted living communities. Her residents and those that worked by her side loved her dearly and looked forward to what she had in store for them each and every day. Days that will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her friends and family.

Relatives and loved ones are invited to attend services at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in Covington, LA on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with visitation beginning at ten o’clock followed by a memorial service at noon. A celebratory reception will follow the service to toast our beautiful, unforgettable, and absolutely fabulous Heather.
