Heather E Drone

Heather E. Drone, 49, of Summit, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 25, 2025.
Born in Rahway, NJ, Heather was the beloved daughter of Judith (née Manning) and Leon Drone. She spent her early years in Rahway and later resided in New Providence before recently moving to Summit.
A proud graduate of Oak Knoll School's Class of 1993, Heather was a gifted athlete, excelling in field hockey and softball, and shared her love of music as a member of the school choir under the direction of Ruby Robinson. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Lehigh University.
Heather's professional journey began at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Philadelphia and continuing through roles at Prudential Insurance in Princeton, JPMorgan Chase in New York, and PNC Bank in Philadelphia. She later worked as a waitress at Old Glory Restaurant in New Providence and most recently at the Broadway Diner in Summit. She also held a role at E3 Human Resources in Summit.
She is survived by her loving parents, Judith M. Drone and Leon D. Drone; her dear brother, Dimitri Drone and his fiancé Krystn Hammond; her aunt and uncle-and godparents-Marilyn and Roger Drone; and her adored nephews and niece, Addison, Logan, and Avery.
Heather's presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private inurnment will be held for the family at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial.
