Patricia Brydon Marchello

Patricia Brydon Marchello, lovingly known as "Pat," of New Providence, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on January 7, 1947, in Summit, New Jersey, Pat was the daughter of the late Gladys (née Latham) and Laurence Brydon. She lived in Summit and also Berkeley Heights before settling in New Providence.

Pat had a deep passion for Shetland Sheepdogs. She was actively involved in breeding and showing her beloved dogs and took great pride in her work as a show handler. Over the past 45 years, she took great pride in her long line of champions, starting with her very first litter up until the most recent, just 5 years ago. Pat was a devoted member of both the Shetland Sheepdog Club of New Jersey and the American Shetland Sheepdog Association, where she formed many lasting friendships with fellow enthusiasts.

Above all else, Pat was devoted to her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Phillip Edward Marchello; her parents; and her siblings, Carol Miller, Nancy Hooper, and Al Brydon.

She is survived by her loving children: Phillip Edward Marchello, Jr. (Sue Wesighan), Patricia Marchello Kendrick (Scott), and Donna Marchello Ortega (Ray). She was the sister of Laurence Brydon Jr. and the proud grandmother of Phil (Tori), Michelle and Tony Marchello, Lillian and Kirsten Bowers, and William Wesighan; Ryan (Ali) and Erin Kendrick; and Victoria and Cordeliah Ortega. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, February 19th, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Avenue, Summit, NJ. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 20th, with gathering beginning at 9:30 AM and the service commencing at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held at St. Teresa's Cemetery. Following the service, please join the family at Vintage Tavern, 342 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ for a celebration of Pat's life.

In lieu of flowers, we would like to recognize the team that cared for our mother for over 5 months. They are the most amazing group and we could not have prayed for more.
