HEATHER GOSZ Obituary Heather Ellen Gosz passed away at home in Princeton, Idaho, surrounded by her precious family. After an aggressive and quick illness, Heather peacefully joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early hours of August 29th, 2024.
Known as Team Gosz, Heather and her high school sweetheart turned husband of 29 years, Rusty, created a legacy together through the adventures of raising 8 children. With Gods direction, they decided to best apply Heathers OSU Bachelors degree in Elementary Education to homeschool their family. For 27 years, they were anchors in their faith community of Countryside Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They opened their home for discipleship and fellowship, and she could frequently be found making gourmet waffles to welcome lonely college students who flocked to the Gosz family home. In January 2023, they started a new adventure moving to Princeton, Idaho, to take over care of the Gosz family farmhouse, and to fulfill their long-desired dream of living in the beautiful state of Idaho.
Heather was known for her love of Jesus and "pine cones and baby feet." She deeply loved and trusted Lord Jesus, whom she had followed from childhood. She spent daily personal time in Scripture, prayed for her family, and fostered her childrens spiritual growth through their homeschool education, family devotions and Scripture memory. Her love of nature and children was aptly reflected in her lovely home, which showcased baskets of pinecones, plants, framed pictures of her children and grandchildren, and countless scrapbooks (with each babys footprints memorialized somehow).
On Earth, Heather was a peacemaker and source of great comfort and Christ-filled wisdom to all who knew her. We celebrate that she is experiencing the peace of God in full measure, in the Presence of comfort and wisdom Himself, the Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor.
Heathers mother, Darci Dee Boyd, preceded her to join Jesus in 2006. Heather is survived by her husband (Rusty Gosz), her 8 children and their spouses (Rachel and John Franklin, Jonathan and Hannah Gosz, Laura, David, Matthew, Katherine, Caroline, Christian), her 2 grandchildren (Johnny and Jenny Franklin), her father (George Boyd), and her 3 siblings (Christine Boyd, Joel Boyd, and Ryan Boyd).
A service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, 3:00P.M. at the Palouse City Park with Pastor Mike James officiating. A private family graveside will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery,
