Heather Adele Hayden

Heather Adele Hayden, age 50, of Green Valley, Illinois, passed away on November 4, 2025. Born on August 18, 1975, in Pekin, Illinois, Heather grew up surrounded by love and laughter. She was the cherished daughter of Dennis (Sara) Hayden and Renee (Victor) Diver. Heather was also a loving sister to Holly and Trevor Hayden. Heather also leaves behind her loyal canine companion, Moxon, who was always by her side.
Heather spent much of her life in Green Valley, where her warm personality and quick wit made her unforgettable to all who knew her. She spent many years working at Fitz Inn in Green Valley, where she formed lifelong friendships and left a lasting mark on her coworkers and customers alike. Later, she joined Dr. Mark Zaayenga's dental office, where she enjoyed connecting with patients and brightening their day with her smile and kindness.
One of Heather's greatest joys was being in the sunshine, especially gardening and lounging at the beach. Her happy place was St. Pete Beach, Florida, where she found peace with her toes in the sand and the sound of waves crashing nearby. She also enjoyed summers at the Lake of the Ozarks. As an avid traveler, she ventured to various concert venues with her friends and explored new places with her mom and sister, making treasured memories. She recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of visiting the stunning Tahitian Islands.
Heather was known for her love of baking and spoiling her loved ones with delicious treats. Her chocolate chip cookies and spiced pecans were legendary among family and friends-made with love and always shared generously.
Those who were blessed to know Heather will remember her for her fighting spirit, compassion, humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her spirit will forever shine in the warmth of the sun and the ocean breeze she so dearly loved.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Noon, with visitation two hours prior to the services at Manito Community United Methodist Church, in Manito, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory, share stories, and remember the joy she brought to so many.
Memorial donations can be made to Forman Ambulance, Green Valley Fire Department, or Manito Community United Methodist Church. Flower arrangements are available through Meyers Country Gardens, in Manito.
