Heather Mulrooney-Conway, 41, of Dubuque, died Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the MercyOne Medical Center in Dubuque.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:45 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.
The Funeral Service for Heather will be at 12:00 pm (Noon) on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Rex Rains officiating.
Heather was born March 4, 1983, in Seoul, South Korea, the daughter of Edward A. and Patricia H. (Heller) Mulrooney. On June 7, 2015, she married Bradley Conway at the Kalahari in the Wisconsin Dells.
Heather graduated from Hempstead High School in 2001, and continued her education at The University of Northern Iowa.
Heather worked at Younkers, Pita Pit, the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, and most recently, Bethany Home as their Human Resource Director.
Heather loved attending concerts of all kinds, and was always excited to explore different genres. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially playing soccer and kayaking. She loved to travel to places like Hawaii and Birchwood, and would often have one Blood Mary during her trips. She had a gift of soothing children, and was often called the baby whisperer.
Survivors include her husband, Bradley Conway of Dubuque, her two sons, Aidan and Charles Conway; her father, Edward Mulrooney of Dubuque; one brother, Shannon (Michelle) Mulrooney of Dubuque; one sister, Tara (Nick) Matous of Dubuque; nephew and niece, Liam and Addison Mulrooney; mother- and father-in-law, Hattie and Terry Nemmers; and brother-in-law, Justin Conway.
She is preceded in death by her mother; father-in-law, John Conway; and brother-in-law, Cory Conway.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Heather's family would like to extend a special Thank You to all of the staff at MercyOne Cancer Center, Mercy ER, and Mercy ICU, especially, nurse Abbie, for her care and support, Danielle Meyer-Tobin and Vicki Nemmers for all of their friendship and support.
