Hector Bernal Romo, age 82, of
San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025 with his beloved by his side and loved ones.
Hector was born on March 17, 1943 in Knippa to Ramiro and Rosaura (Bernal) Romo. He was a devoted husband, father, sibling, and friend. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, patient heart, and deep devotion to his family. He adored his wife of 60 years, and cherished every moment with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A man of strong faith, he lived by example-always giving, always serving, and always placing others before himself.
A Memorable Story: One of the moments the family cherishes most is how, after every meal, Hector would thank the cook, pat his belly, and proudly announce, "I made a pig of myself!"-a line that never failed to bring laughter to the table. He also never missed a chance to stop at the nearest gas station for a lottery ticket, convinced that one day his lucky numbers were going to hit.
He is survived by his wife Linda Sue Romo, children Michael Dwayne Romo married to Anne Romo, Tammy Lynn Drake, and fiancé Chris Wyn Rudy, grandchildren Sarah Maria Drake, Mayabelle Maria Romo, Zoe Ann Romo, Ashley Dawn Hernandez (husband Safa Rubaye) w/great-grandchildren Averyana Marie Hernandez, Valerie Vi Hernandez, Colt Romo Hernandez and son in law Dominic Hernandez. Kimberly Ann Davies (husband Rob Davies) w/greatgrandchildren Richard Stevan Davies and Evelyn Rose Davies. As well as his brothers and sisters, Ramiro B. Romo, Mary Flores, Lucila Flores, Rosaura Vela, Tony B. Romo. He is preceded in death by his daughter Maria Linda Romo, parents Ramiro and Rosaura Romo, his sisters Minerva Fernandez, Delorez Hernandez, and brother Robert Romo.

May the choirs of angels come to greet him. May they speed him to paradise. May the Lord enfold him in His mercy and perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
