Hector Tello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Jul. 24, 2025.
In loving Memory of Hector Manuel Tello Sr - August 15, 1941 - July 19, 2025. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hector Manuel Tello, who left us peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on August 15, 1941, and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.
Hector was married for 61 years to his beloved wife, Rachel Juarez Tello, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories. He was a proud father to three children: Hector Manuel Tello Jr. (Cindy Martinez), Lety Landez (David Landez), and David Javier Tello (Patty Garza). His legacy continues to live on through his six cherished grandchildren: Alex Tello, Evan Landez, Sarah Lopez, Dylan Tello, David Tello, and John Ryan Landez, and two great grandchildren: Augustus and Logan Lopez, all of whom were the light of his life.
A proud graduate of LaSalle High School, Hector went on to enjoy a fulfilling 35-year career at Friedrich Air Conditioning, where he made lifelong friends and contributed to the company's success. Hector's work ethic and dedication to his family were unmatched.
Hector was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He took great pride in helping others, whether through offering a hand when needed or simply being present for his love ones. He had a particular fondness for caring for his home and lawn, always ensuring it was in immaculate condition. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did.
An avid sports enthusiast, Hector always cheered on his family and friends. For many years he served as coach at Five Diamonds and Little Cowboy field. His love for his family was unparalleled - he always made time to support and guide them in every way possible. As a self-taught carpenter, he found joy in crafting and creating, and in recent years, Hector became fascinated with the world of YouTube, where he indulged in new interests and continued his lifelong passion of learning.
Hector's generosity of spirit, his unwavering support of his loved ones, and his easygoing nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a man whose presence made every day brighter, and whose love for his family knew no bounds.
Hector is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness and generosity.
A celebration of Hector's life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, at Mission Park South Funeral Home followed by burial on Wednesday, July 30. He will be missed dearly, but we are grateful to have known him and will cherish all the memories.
