Hedy Hanselman Obituary
She is survived by her children, Barbara, Greg, Suzanne (Tim McDonald) and Jennifer (Nick Regas); her grandchildren, Kalyn, Sarah, Sam (Juli), Matthew (Pegah), Kate (Alex), Rachel (Chloe), David (Lauren) and Mary; and a great-grandchild, Sydney. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Hanselman.
Hedy dedicated her professional life to nursing, but her service extended far beyond the hospital. Hedy gave countless hours to community organizations, including the American Red Cross, Southwest General Hospital and the Middleburg Heights Women's Club. Never one to slow down, Hedy played golf and bowled into her 90s, took courses at Tri-C and Baldwin Wallace, was an enthusiastic reader and an avid sports fan.
Hedy lived a life of compassion, curiosity, and commitment to others. Her spirit touched everyone she met, and her legacy will live on in the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A celebration of Hedy's life will be held on July 10, 2025, 4:00-7:00 pm at the Middleburg Hts. Community Center, 16000 Bagley Rd., Middleburg Hts. The family suggests that donations be made in her memory to Middleburg Hts. Women's Club Scholarship Fund and Christ College of Nursing Alumni Legacy Fund.

Hedy was a dear friend and colleague at Fairview Hospital. She shared with me her love for live theater and we had season tickets to The Cleve-land Playhouse´s Broadway Series. I admired her enthusiastic zeal in everything she did. She will be deeply missed. RIP, Hedy!

I meet Hedy when she started working at Fairview Hospital on my unit. We shared many good times over the years. My sister and I will miss her.
