Heinrich "Henry" Schneider, age 86, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Born in Darmstadt, Germany on October 12, 1938, he was a son of the late Georg Johann Heinrich and Rosa (Wanderer) Schneider. Henry came to the United States in 1952, on the second voyage of the S.S. United States. He met the love of his life Carol in 1954 and they married in 1959. Henry spent 26 years working for Pantry Pride until their closing. He then began his 20- year career with Zingo's as their produce manager.

Henry was especially talented at working with his hands. Whether he was building lighthouses or working on his latest home improvement project, he was always busy doing something constructive. In his spare time, Henry enjoyed visiting Delaware Park and military air shows. Most of all, he was a family man who cherished his loved ones.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Schneider; and siblings, Lislosette McPeak, Norbert Schneider, and Lothar Schneider. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carol Ann (Adolf) Schneider; son, Christian Schneider (Damon Sanders); siblings, Georg Schneider and Erika Foster; several nieces and nephews, including Brigitte Smith; and many dear friends.
