Helen Pearl Eller Allison, 97, of Old Fort, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

She was born in McDowell County on July 21, 1926 to the late Earl Edward Eller and Pearl Stepp Eller.

Helen was a longtime, faithful member of Ebenezer Christian Fellowship where she was a part of the Methodist Women’s Club and the Senior Saints. She was a wonderful seamstress, loved to sew, enjoyed music, and she was a fan of Steve Harvey. She was formerly employed at Collins & Aikman. Helen loved her Lord, and her family meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Allison who passed away in 1998; granddaughter, Whitney Allison; six siblings, Dorothy Jaynes, Howard Eller, Harold Eller, Earl E. Eller, Jr., Ruby Eller, and Joe Eller; and a son-in-law, Hudson Morgan.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Doreen Allison, William Elton Allison (Bonita Calloway), and Renee Cauthen (Steve); four grandchildren, Lindsey Johnson (Cliff), Dustin Allison (Mickie Kelly), Joshua Cauthen (Abigail), and Jensen Cauthen (Cody Childress); Sandie Allison (mother and grandmother to Dustin and Andrew Allison); four great grandchildren, Andrew Allison, Hoyt Johnson, Hattie Johnson, and Huxley Johnson; one sister, Bobbie Walker (Jimmy); and a number of special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service in celebration of Mrs. Allison’s life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Christian Fellowship. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Flowers are accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund, 744 Ebenezer Church Road, Old Fort, NC 28762.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center.
