Helen K. Bomas

Helen K. (Settos) Bomas age 96 passed Friday, December 19, 2025.
She was born June 29, 1929 in Lima, Ohio to the late Charles and Harkila (Tsamis) Settos.
On February 25, 1956, she married Steven L. Bomas, they shared 59 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death July 31, 2015.
She was employed at Sutton & Lightner in the Marion Mall for many years. James Lightner and Helen were the last two to walk out together after the final closing. Helen was a lifelong member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Mansfield, Ohio.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Leon Bomas of Marion, OH., Harriet Bomas of Marion, OH, Connie (Jim) Bowers of Lenexa, KS, Anna Bomas of Marion, OH., grandchildren, Weston Bowers and Demitria Bowers.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Settos, her husband Steven Bomas and her brother, Spero Settos, and her beloved dog, Niko.
Helen has 6 wonderful nieces, Eia, Terry, Violet, Denise, Marci and Kristen and a wonderful nephew, George she loved dearly. They celebrated Helen's birthday this year with a delicious Greek feast from Chef Eia.
Helen also has 5 awesome caregivers, Sharli, Judy, Darla, Bobbie and Jessica who provided excellent care and love. For Niko too!
Thank you to Dr. Tahboub, Karen and Becky, Helen's dear friends who always kept her in their thoughts and hearts.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 12pm to 1pm with Trisagion Service at 12 noon at Snyder Funeral Home, Denzer Chapel 360 E. Center St. Marion, Ohio 43302. Funeral Services will begin at 1PM with Father Michael Ellis officiating. Burial will take place at Marion Cemetery.
