OBITUARY
Mrs. Helen Louise Bloyd, of Mt. Sherman, daughter of the late Wilburn Thomas Bradshaw and Vernie Vaughn Bradshaw, was born on Wednesday, August 13, 1941 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, August 15, 2025 at her niece's home in Mt. Sherman, Kentucky. She was 84 years and two days of age.
She had made a profession faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She also worked for Fruit of the Loom as an inspector and also took care of the office work for her husband.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Vernon "Duckie" Bloyd on April 16, 1960.
She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law: Ralph & Sheila Bradshaw of Green County; a granddaughter: Genny Lynn VanMeter; some nieces and nephews: Sherry Loyall (Delbert Graham) of Mt. Sherman, Mitzi Loyall of Mt. Sherman, Lana Simpson of Greensburg, Brian Bradshaw (Melanie Thompson) of Summersville, Carisa Bradshaw of Campbellsville, and a host of other Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. Last but not least, a grand-pooch named Chiquita
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Aileen Loyall on May 3, 1982.
The funeral services for Mrs. Helen Louise Bloyd will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Buffalo Cemetery. Bro. Joe Milby will be officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday after 9:30 AM until time of the service at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home.
