Helen L. Butcher, 81, of Baytown went to be with her Lord on February 25, 2013. Helen was born on August 11, 1931 in Delhi, Louisiana to Joseph and Maggie Hudgins. It was being raised on the family farm that she derived and intense love of family that lasted a lifetime. She also learned the value of hard work. At age 81 she was still employed by Channel Shipyard. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, "Butch"; a daughter, Barbara; a grandson, Shannon Miles and an infant granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Denis King, Mary and Mike Hutson and Debbie; her sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde Fatheree, Timmy and Vicky Fatheree and Rhonda Brady; her sisters and brothers-in-law, L.V. and Bob Green and Lilly and Jimmie Jackson; her grandchildren, Becky, Tina, Lisa, Chris, Kenneth, Barbie, Joey, B.J., Lindsey and Andy; great grandchildren, Jimmy, Eric, Daisy, Ruby, Abi, Trapper, Ben, Shannon, Samantha, Riley Jo, Garrett, Jenna, Katelyn, Victoria, Mary Jan, Logon, Joseph, Garrett, Mykayla, Madison, Josh, Nathan and Katelyn; nephews, Robert Green and Roy Joseph Peters, and numerous other relatives and friends. A visitation will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wendell Gill and Deacon Allen Bond officiating. Serving as pall bearers will be Dennis King, Jeff Schamp, Trapper Schamp, Tim Fatheree, Carl Fatheree, Steve Stewart, and Kennith. Burial will follw at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521 (281) 422-8111.
