Helen Chriswell, 68, of Pleasant Lake and formerly of Waterloo passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
She was born on August 13, 1954 in Garrett, Kentucky to Adolf and Nora (Bolen) Collins.
Helen married Jack T. Chriswell on September 21, 1973 in Waterloo. Jack resides in Pleasant Lake.
She worked at Charleston Metal Products in Waterloo for almost 30 years before retiring. Helen was very creative and loved making crafts. Her home is full of beautiful things that she has made over the years. She also used her creative talents to make floral arrangements to put on gravestones at cemeteries. Helen also like antiques and going antiquing to look for new treasures. She enjoyed growing her flowers each season and she enjoyed cooking, often trying new recipes to feed Jack and her family. Most important to Helen was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She will be missed!
Survivors include:
Her husband; Jack Chriswell of Pleasant Lake.
Son; Eric Chriswell of Angola.
Daughter; Melissa Chriswell of Butler.
Ten grandchildren; Austin Coleman, Haley Galbraith, Nathan Mumma, Teisha Chriswell, Keigan Chriswell, Logan Chriswell, Skye Chriswell, Zoey Titler, Troy Titler Jr. and Landon Titler.
Six great grandchildren.
Brother and sister-in-law; Roy and Kate Collins of Wawaka.
Sister; Annie Kessler of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tina Coleman, two brothers and six sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday morning at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Willie Collins officiating.
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
