Janet K. Baxter, 81 of Angola, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at her Angola home.
She was born on December 13, 1943 in Auburn to William and Faye (Clark) Rollins.
Janet worked for three different companys over the years. First at Commercial Sherling in Butler, then at Handy & Harman in Angola, and finally at Dana Corporation in Angola, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of the Jerusalem Community Church in Butler. She was also a member of Eagles in Angola. Janet enjoyed traveling, bowling, going dancing, doing puzzles and crafts and she was a collector of all things Coca Cola. She also embroidered blankets for her grandkids over the years. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Sherry Smith of Port Huron, Michigan.
Daughter, Ellen Baxter (Aaron Berry) of Port Huron, Michigan.
Daughter, Kay Vermeland of Montrose, Michigan.
Son, Les Baxter of Angola.
Janet was blessed with nine grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Sister, Jean Boger of St. Joe.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and the father of her children, Kenneth Baxter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
Funeral services will be held following the visitation on Thursday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at the Eddy Cemetery in Hamilton.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Janet to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, 6316 Mutual Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo.
