Helen Frontino

Helen R. Guth Frontino, age 91, of Harborcreek, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1934, in South Bend, PA, daughter of the late Daniel and Mabel (Shoop) Ruffner.

Helen began her career at Erie Resistor and later served as the Executive Secretary for the Fuller Brush Company. She went on to work for many years at the General Electric Company, retiring as a member of the Quarter Century Club.

Helen was an active member of Our Lady of Mercy RC Church where she had served on the funeral luncheon committee and helped with the church festivals for many years. She loved to fish and was always the one that caught the most fish. She also loved to feed and watch the birds and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Helen was a gracious host and made sure everyone shared a good meal in her house.

Helen is survived by two children: Vicki Warren and Jim Guth; two sisters: Hazel Rumbaugh and Mary Krebs; five grandchildren: Brad Harvey (Nicole), Beverly Krahe, Erik Conway (Kristy), Miranda Elliott (Billy), Travis Guth (Jenn); five great-grandchildren: Niko, Nora, Bodhi, Cade, and Hudson; as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley Guth; her second husband, Siero "Sal" Frontino; and her brothers: Bill Shoop, Jack Shoop, John Ruffner, and Joe Ruffner.

Helen's family would like to thank VNA Hospice nurses, Tracy and Sandy, for their care and compassion.

Friends may call at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, 837 Bartlett Rd. on Saturday, November 22nd from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass there at noon. A private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ella Cochran Food Pantry, 837 Bartlett Rd., Harborcreek, PA 16421.
