Helen Ruth Givens

Helen Ruth Givens, 97, of East Ridge, Tennessee passed away Friday, December 5, 2025. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Charles and Irene Hunt on May 27,1928. In her early years, Helen worked at Thermodisc as an assembly worker before moving to Tennessee with her family. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fleatis Givens; two sons, Gordon Givens and James Charles Givens; brother, Bob Ling, and sister, Margaret Ling.

Those left to cherish Helen's memory are her daughter, Brenda (Clyde) Coe; son, John (Brenda) Givens; six grandchildren, Ryan Coe, Daniel Coe, Tonya Beard, Melissa Hancock, Mindy Columbus, and Tommy Stephens; nine great grandchildren, Samantha Coe, Lauren Coe, Savannah Coe, Braden Coe, Madelyn Coe, Kade Avans, Devin Williams, Derrick Hancock, and Raygen Glass; one great-great granddaughter, Olive Marie Hancock.
